The Malinki Kitchen or ‘little’ Kitchen (loosely translated) is my home when in Russia’s mighty Capital, Moscow.
I am a Cordon Bleu trained pastry chef and the Malinki Kitchen is my place – away from the pressures of a professional kitchen – to entertain friends, develop recipes and reflect on my experiences within Moscow and, from time to time, on my travels further afield.
Moscow is a vibrant and dynamic city. Complex and often misunderstood it is as fascinating as it is addictive. In the short time I have spent here I have witnessed the first buds of an evolving international gastronomic culture and I am eager to see and experience more.
It is an exciting place for a chef to be and I hope to offer a glimpse into culinary life in this corner of the earth, famously described by Winston Churchill as a “riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma”.
